MARAS MORAY.
Our tour will start at 9:00, so we must be ready at the main square at 8:30.
Maras, this picturesque village, is located 40 km away. Its salt mines are interesting to visit because of the landscape they offer. You can observe an ancient method of obtaining salt from water that springs from underground.
Moray is a formidable archaeological complex, consisting of impressive terraced systems. These beautiful terraces formed a large agricultural laboratory, where the ancient Peruvians experimented and obtained improvements in their products....
Our tour will end at approximately 2:50 p.m.
MOUNTAIN OF COLOURS, VINICUNCA.
We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:30 and 4:50 in the morning, and then we will have a 2-hour drive to where we will have breakfast. Afterwards, we will drive for another hour, where we will begin the approximately 1.5-hour hike to the red mountain of Vinicunca, which is at 5,200 metres above sea level. You will have time to take photos, and then we will descend for approximately one hour. The car will pick us up, we will have lunch, and then we will return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Horses can be hired for between 80 and 90 soles for a round trip, or according to the distance travelled.
Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Tour Description:
We will collect you from your hotel between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas offers countless landscapes, most of which are located on the banks of the sacred Vilcanota River, where the villages preserve their customs, traditions and designs from the Inca era when they were originally founded. To see the Vilcanota River, we always make a 5-minute stop at the Taray viewpoint.
PISAC: This picturesque district located 50 minutes from the city of Cusco, at the foot of the archaeological site of the same name, will be the first stop on this action-packed day.
PISAC ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTRE: Transport will take us to the top of the complex to begin the guided tour. Accompanied by our guide, we will visit the most important parts of this archaeological complex, which owes its name to a bird that is very typical of the area and which, with a bit of luck, we may see during our visit.
At the end of our visit to the archaeological complex, we headed to the province of Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch.
OLLANTAYTAMBO: We will visit the archaeological site located 90 kilometres northeast of the city of Cusco. It is necessary to climb, which will require some effort, but it will be worth it, not only for the beautiful view of the village and the river, but also for the beauty of the archaeological site itself, which features wonderful Inca architecture.
After visiting Ollantaytambo, you will then travel to Aguas Calientes. Departure times may be 7:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. The train journey to Aguas Calientes takes 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Upon arrival in Aguas Clientes, they will be picked up and taken to the hotel.
VISIT TO THE INCA CITADEL OF MACHUPICCHU.
Depending on what has been arranged with the guide, you will take a bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. This journey will take 30 minutes.
The guide will show you the main sites of the Inca citadel, such as the Main Square, Circular Tower, Sacred Solar Clock, Temple of the Three Windows, etc. Guided group tour.
The return trip would be at 4:12 p.m. or 6:30 p.m., depending on availability and schedules. This train will take you only to Ollantaytambo, where you will then be picked up by bus and brought back to Cusco. The train journey takes 1 hour and 40 minutes, and the bus journey takes a similar amount of time.
Timetables are approximate and may vary for both outward and return journeys.
